"[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon] WAVUS (336060), a leading geospatial platform company, announced on the 17th that its new geospatial administrative support solution, GeOnCity, received an award in the Artificial Intelligence & Data (AI·DATA) category at the 2025 World Smart City Expo (WSCE) held at BEXCO in Busan.

The award is particularly meaningful as it officially recognizes GeOnCity's technological excellence and market competitiveness in the field of geospatial-based smart administration. Following its recognition as an Outstanding Company and its receipt of the Minister of Science and ICT Award at last year's WSCE, WAVUS has once again attracted significant attention from domestic and international smart city stakeholders by winning the AI & Data Award just two years after first participating in the event. During the exhibition, WAVUS demonstrated GeOnCity and held consultations with local government officials, providing visitors with an opportunity to experience innovative smart city technologies firsthand.

GeOnCity is a smart city administrative support solution officially launched at WSCE 2025. It is an on-premises service package built on WAVUS' proprietary cloud-based 2D geospatial platform, GeOnPaaS, and its 3D digital twin platform, GeOnDT. Comprising 30 individual services, the solution can be selectively deployed to meet the operational needs of local governments and public institutions.

The solution provides services across seven key areas, including disaster preparedness, facility management, urban planning, and Urban Air Mobility (UAM) and drone operations. Its capabilities include real-time fire detection, urban planning management, survey data management, road occupancy permitting, UAM route simulation, and 3D simulation of underground utility pipeline installations. In addition to data retrieval and visualization, the solution offers advanced analytics and predictive capabilities, providing practical insights for efficient urban planning and operations, resource management, and urban problem-solving.

W Alliance is a collaborative network of companies with strong local presence and expertise, through which WAVUS shares licensing revenue, solution training, technical support, promotional materials, and successful implementation cases. As of this month, the alliance includes 27 member companies, and technical seminars are planned for the second half of the year.

WAVUS is also the only GIS-specialized company listed on the KOSDAQ market. Leveraging geospatial technologies, the company has been leading the geospatial industry in real estate administration, public administration support, and environmental management.
