WAVUS, a company specializing in geospatial information and digital platforms, is targeting the future air mobility market with integrated control technology that covers everything from drone detection to disabling. The company is also accelerating the development of intelligent control systems to support the safe operation of Urban Air Mobility (UAM).
WAVUS’s key technology is “AIGIS X,” an integrated counter-drone control platform that connects the entire process, from drone detection to tracking, within a single system. AIGIS X integrates drone detection, tracking, and response equipment from different manufacturers into one platform, enabling comprehensive management of drone threat situations.
When a drone in flight is detected by radar and radio frequency scanners, electro-optical and infrared cameras track the target. The platform then manages the entire process, from threat assessment and response authorization to disabling the drone using radio frequency jamming equipment.
In the UAM sector, WAVUS has developed “GeOnAirX,” an integrated control platform. The platform is a solution designed to control UAM aircraft flight and management, supporting safe and efficient operations. WAVUS is also pursuing technology development in collaboration with the Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST) to address navigation signal coverage gaps that may occur during UAM operations.
WAVUS showcased these technological capabilities at the “FIX 2026 Korea Future Mobility Expo,” recently held at Daegu EXCO. The company operated a joint booth with specialized companies and introduced an integrated counter-drone response system.
A WAVUS representative said, “We will continue to expand cooperation with specialized companies and research institutions and strengthen our competitiveness in the commercialization of future air mobility technologies based on our integrated control platform technology.”
