"Five-Year Donation of Mappick Licenses to Foster Broad Collaboration in Education and Research

Inha Technical College announced on the 22nd that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with WAVUS Co., Ltd. on the 21st to foster specialized geospatial professionals and promote mutual development.
Approximately 10 representatives from both organizations attended the ceremony, including Kim Sung-chan, President of Inha Technical College, and Kim Hak-sung, CEO of WAVUS. The two organizations agreed to collaborate on developing geospatial software talent and strengthening industry-oriented education and research cooperation.
The key provisions of the agreement include △ establishing GIS (Geographic Information System) education infrastructure △ donating Mappick licenses for five years (valued at KRW 170 million) △ supporting internships and employment opportunities △ conducting joint research and curriculum development △ expanding scholarships and participation in educational programs.
President Kim stated, “This agreement goes beyond a simple exchange and provides students with an excellent opportunity to directly acquire the skills and experience required in real industrial settings. We will continue to work closely with industry partners to cultivate future specialists in AI and geospatial technologies.”
CEO Kim said, “Industry-academia collaboration is essential for identifying outstanding technical talent at an early stage and growing together. Based on WAVUS’ diverse technologies, including Mappick, we will actively pursue mutual development with universities.”
